Position
Material Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Schedule and ship merchandise orders. Perform lookups to determine if parts are in and if assembly is required, follow up and ensure delivery to customers.
- Work closely with Receiving personnel, act as backup to Receiving, and manage staggered lunch/break hours to maintain receiving during breaks and lunch.
- Maintain steel allocating/kitting program. Analyze errors, plan and implement solutions, coordinate with the shop, and support process improvement.
- Facilitate steel inventory (sheet steel and full-length material for cut-to-size parts). Analyze counts, identify causes, determine corrective action, and implement changes.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and provide insights on problem causes.
- Manually kit steel if required.
- Prepare CCIT sheets for shop and coordinate with inspection sheets.
- Kit motors after the wiring department has physically taken the material.
- Perform miscellaneous part adjustments from the cut/saw area and manually kit material as used, coordinating with the shop on large drop issues.
- Lead as a team leader for receiving/shop materials personnel as required.
- Coordinate incoming inspections with Receiving and QA.
- Work closely with the ISO leader in the plant and act as ISO Internal Auditor as required (training provided).
- BC CAR Coordinator.
- Set up steel cycle counts as needed and enter counts into the ERP system.
- Perform other work-related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of arithmetic and its applications.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes, including needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
- Knowledge of English language structure, spelling, grammar, and composition.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air and road, including relative costs and benefits.

- Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches.
- Effective communication and information sharing.
- Active listening and comprehension, with thoughtful questioning and appropriate timing.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or 2–5 years of experience in a design-to-order manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with SAP software.
- Must sign Webb’s Employee Invention, Non-solicitation, Non-Compete and Confidential Information Agreement.
Demonstrated Physical Abilities
- Constantly move/traverse throughout the shop to access office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery.
- Constantly communicate with others through talking and hearing.
- Read and assess forms and correspondence as part of job duties.
