Corewell Health in Grosse Pointe is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to analyze inventory data, develop reports, and serve as a resource across staff and departments. You will monitor accuracy, collaborate with teams, and optimize reorder points to maximize turns while maintaining safety and compliance.
The role emphasizes daily cycle counts, outage reviews, and documentation in a hospital setting, contributing to efficient warehouse operations and safe patient care.
Job Summary Reviews and analyzes data and develops reports to summarize inventory control data. Acts as a resource to staff, managers, and other departments related to area of specialty.
Develops and generates reports or forms and distributes to appropriate people, monitoring information for accuracy and completeness. Communicates, collaborates and acts as a consultant to staff, management and other departments in order to educate and ensure continuity and coordination of services. Analyzes data to maintain appropriate inventory levels and reorder points to maximize inventory turns. Reviews stock outages on a daily basis. Manages the cycle count process on a daily basis. Analyzes monthly reports to identify low usage items and facilitate the removal of them in conjunction with purchasing. Analyzes stocking locations to ensure appropriate space is allocated in all warehouse locations. Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of hospital safety and infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
