Material Control Supervisor

In this position...

As a Material Control Supervisor, you will lead a warehouse team, ensuring safety protocols are followed, inventory is accurately tracked, and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. This is an onsite position that will require flexibility including the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends and most holidays. Eligible for overtime pay when working holidays. There is no hybrid option for this position.

What you'll do...

The primary role of a Material Control Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day operation of a Parts Distribution Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Lead a represented team responsible for Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
  2. Deliver objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, Absenteeism.
  3. Engage with key stakeholders including suppliers to deliver key objectives.
  4. Maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders, including fair and consistent administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  5. The ability to manage behaviors and accountability in process, in yourself and the hourly workforce.
You'll have...
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience.
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in similar positions.
  • Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and afternoon shifts with varying hours.
  • Must be flexible with start times, also willing and able to work overtime.
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time, in the Kansas City HVC. (Shawnee, KS)
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen, collaborate and problem solve with stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and pressure-filled situations.
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Even better, you may have...
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Prior Warehouse supervisor experience.
  • Experience working in a UAW environment.
  • Experience in warehouse/distribution/production operations.
  • Knowledge of WMS - Warehouse Management Systems, preferably SAP/EWM.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Systems.
