Job summary

KDC-ONE is hiring for a Material Control Coordinator at our Columbus, Ohio facility. The role supports receipt, storage, and shipping of components and finished goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and SAP processing. You will train staff, issue labels, and coordinate with production and logistics teams to maintain on-time shipments.

Responsibilities include managing pick lists, processing orders in SAP, and enforcing safety and quality standards in alignment with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate PIT equipment (forklifts, cherry-pickers, reach trucks) safely.
  • Coordinate distribution of pick lists to forklift operators based on production/shipping schedules.
  • Verify material transfer orders from production for completeness and accuracy.
  • Process material returns in SAP and reconcile inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform physical inventory checks and correct discrepancies.
  • Issue product labels to production and stage label cages.
  • Enter process order information in SAP and manage material receivals and variances.
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound deliveries with local/regional trucking partners.

General Information

The Material Control Coordinator is responsible for all forklift operators assigned to the receiving, picking, staging, auditing, and shipping of components, finished goods (FG) and parcels. This position also supports the flow of materials issued and returned from production, performs component and finished goods inventory reconciliations, and issues labels to production in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI). The coordinator maintains Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) > 98%, coaches and trains staff and forklift operators on pallet allocation and labeling, and is a reference resource for SAP transactions and questions.

What are we looking for?
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent (highly preferred). In lieu of diploma or GED, years of experience, knowledge, skills, and fit will be considered.
  • Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
  • SAP experience, preferred.

This position is responsible for
  • Operating PIT equipment such as sit‑down forklifts, counter‑balance lifts, cherry‑pickers, turret trucks, and reach trucks within safety and operational requirements.
  • Coordinating the distribution of pick lists to forklift operators based on production and shipping schedules.
  • Verifying material transfer orders from production for completeness and accuracy.
  • Processing material returns from the production floor in SAP and completing reconciliation to ensure accurate inventory balances.
  • Performing physical inventory checks for components, labels, and finished goods; identifying discrepancies and processing corrections.
  • Supporting the production department by issuing product labels to process orders and staging label cages.
  • Entering process order information in SAP, applying labels to material received, reconciling variances, and coordinating warehouse locations.
  • Coordinating inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with local and regional trucking companies; processing in the customer’s inventory portal as applicable.
  • Completing and retaining all receiving and shipping documentation and records based on applicable SOPs and WIs.
  • Communicating and coordinating with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve inbound and outbound receipt and shipment issues.
  • Coordinating high‑priority inspections, put‑aways, and quarantine releases.
  • Processing, auditing, and reconciling all transactions related to receiving raw materials and components and shipping finished goods in SAP.
  • Executing sales orders in SAP to create pick lists for finished goods shipments.
  • Monitoring forklift operations to ensure timely receipts and shipments.
  • Auditing and confirming raw materials, components, and finished goods before processing transactions or loading for outbound shipments.
  • Scheduling outbound shipments and processing transactions in SAP and the customer’s portal.
  • Coordinating with customer transportation departments and trucking companies to ensure on‑time shipments.
  • Generating express, ground, and air bills, packing lists, and freight bills (BOLs) for shipments, including HazMat shipments.
  • Receiving, preparing, and processing inbound and outbound parcels from respective departments and vendors.
  • Assisting in investigating inventory related issues.
  • Following and enforcing KDC’s safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Performing all work consistently with the company’s quality system, FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations, and maintaining clean and orderly areas at all times.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
