Job summary

KDC/ONE Columbus is seeking a Production Line Leader for the 3rd shift to oversee filling and packaging operations. You will train and guide a team to maintain high quality, meet schedules, and uphold production standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in manufacturing or supervision, familiarity with GMP/OSHA, and experience with SAP and HMI systems. This is a full-time, on-site role in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• 2+ years manufacturing or supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with FDA cGMPs, OSHA safety, SOPs, SAP, and HMI systems.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees to meet shift goals with consistency and quality.
• Train team members on SOPs, WIs, housekeeping, and safety protocols.
• Track scrap and ensure proper disposal.
• Record production documentation and finished goods in SAP.
• Perform ongoing quality checks on appearance, torque, and weight.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on projects and changeovers.
• Investigate failures or deviations and determine root causes.
• Keep line and crew tidy, compliant, and ready.
• Promote safety and lead by example per OSHA, GMP, and policies.

Production Line Lead

Location: kdc/one Columbus | Full-Time

Available Shift:

3rd Monday – Friday 10:30pm- 7:00am

Pay: $26.00 - $26.50

What You’ll Be Doing:

As our Production Line Leader, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations across the filling and packaging line. You’ll train, guide, encourage, and work with your team to keep quality high, schedules on track, and production standards sharp.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead production employees to meet shift goals with consistency and quality
• Train team members on SOPs, WIs, good housekeeping, and safety protocols
• Track scrap with precision and make sure it’s disposed of correctly and properly
• Record production documentation and finished goods in SAP
• Perform ongoing quality checks, appearance, torque, and weight
• Coordinate closely with cross-functional departments on projects and changeovers
• Jump into investigations of failures or deviations and help uncover starting causes
• Keep your line and your crew tidy, compliant, and always ready
• Promote safety and lead by example in adherence to OSHA, GMP, and company policies
• Be a strong communicator and a trusted team leader across your shifts

Requirements you need:

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred
• At least 2 years of manufacturing or production experience, OR 2 years of supervisory experience
• Familiarity with FDA cGMPs, OSHA safety, SOPs, SAP, and HMI systems
• Ability to multitask, solve problems, and get things done even on tight deadlines
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling
• Work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise
• Frequent interaction with motorized equipment (forklifts, electrical pallet jacks, etc.)
• Standard PPE requirements (hairnet, safety glasses, lab coat, etc.)
