Job summary

CF Industries is seeking a Material Control Coordinator to ensure receipt and secure handling of project materials from procurement through construction to commissioning. You will support the site Material Controls team and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders and contractors.

The role requires forklift operation, adherence to CF safety practices, and coordination of material issuance and inventory accuracy with discipline engineers and accounts payable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse position in chemical, petrochemical, construction or heavy industrial.
• Experience with multi-billion-dollar EPC brownfield or greenfield projects (preferred).
• Microsoft 365, SAP ECC/S4 Hana and/or Ariba/Coupa a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform material and equipment receipt at warehouse and laydown yards, verify against purchase orders, packing lists and MTO.
• Coordinate receipt inspections with discipline Engineers and QHSES; facilitate NCR process for damaged or incorrect materials.
• Maintain housekeeping of workspaces, warehouse aisles, dock areas and disposal of waste.
• Coordinate relationships with Procurement, Engineering, Construction and EPF Contractor teams for material lead times and shortages.
• Assist Accounts Payable with resolution of receipt and invoice issues related to material receipts.
• Ensure incoming spare parts shipments are accurately received and reconciled with packing lists and bills of lading.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Material Control Supervisor, the Material Control Coordinator ensures the receipt all project materials and equipment from procurement through construction to commissioning. Responsible for operational tasks in the management of the incoming project materials and equipment, spare parts, including stocking levels and providing security controls of materials held in inventory. Supports the site Material Controls team in all material management processes to support the Blue Point Project and build supportive internal and external relationships within the project stakeholders and contractors.

Job Description:

• Perform material and equipment receipt at warehouse and laydown yards. Ensure verification against Purchase Orders, packing lists and MTO. Coordinate required receipt inspections with discipline Engineers and QHSES. Facilitate NCR process for damaged or incorrect materials and equipment.
• Be responsible for the housekeeping of individual workspaces, warehouse aisles, warehouse open areas, issuing and receiving stations, dock areas, and proper disposal of waste from these areas
• Maintain effective and productive relationships within Procurement, Engineering, Construction and EPF Contractor teams for awareness on long-lead materials and equipment and early identification of potential shortages.
• Assists Accounts Payable with the resolution of receipt and invoice issues related to material receipts
• Ensure each incoming spare parts shipment is accurately received, reconciling with packing lists and bills of lading. Track and tag bulk and tagged equipment
• Resolve receipt issues by working with procurement and material suppliers related to over shipments, under shipments, and damaged shipments, incorrect material shipments, and delivery of materials to the incorrect CF location.
• Safely operate a forklift in and around the warehouse, including loading and unloading vehicles, storing material, and picking it up from shelving and other warehouse areas.
• Recognize and comply with CF safety practices, especially where related to hazard identification and reporting, materials handling, material shipping, forklift use, and housekeeping
• Coordinate required material and equipment issuance from warehouse/laydown yards to construction contractors. Ensure: right material, right location, right time
• Sign and date the appropriate receiving documentation; enter receipts in a timely manner, ensuring material accuracy and unit of measure requirements align with the purchase order specifications Contribute to responsible warehouse safety and housekeeping including the interior and exterior of the building(s) and outside yard area(s). Warehouse MRO items received are identified and placed in their assigned locations, new MRO items are assigned to a unique location, and obsolete MRO items are removed from inventory and disposed of according to CF policies and procedures.
