Work Performed: Working from blueprints, Bell Process Specifications, drawings, or written specifications, performs all necessary layouts and prepares parts or articles composed of like or unlike materials for pressure bonding process. Plans operations and performs assembling, fitting, and trimming as required, applies either liquid or solid bonding agents. Uses various production aids, such as jigs, fixtures, and hand tools. Checks all work to ensure proper bonding agent application, correct assembly and fitting, etc., and places articles in a pressure furnace. Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and bonding agents used. Maintains close watch over furnace controls during bonding to ensure a successful bond and prevent damage. Checks finished articles. Responsible for the safe operation of equipment.
Experience & Other Requirements:
This position requires handling information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be persons within the meaning of ITAR, including U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), Political Asylees, or Refugees.
