Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Distribution/Receiving associate to handle the intake of goods, process paperwork, and ensure accurate inventory control. The role uses PC and RF scanners to manage transactions and maintains safe, organized storage of equipment and supplies at multiple offsite locations.

The position covers PTO at offsite locations and requires attention to documentation accuracy, adherence to OSHA safety standards, and the ability to work in patient care areas when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; alternative related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Processes transactions accurately and timely as a result of receiving physical goods from suppliers, or returned goods from customer departments, stock replenishments or filling of customer orders.
• Executes transactions inside the management system, using PC and RF scanner technologies to process transactions accurately.
• Reviews and verifies all documentation used throughout the process to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
• Operates equipment safely and transports and stores goods to prevent damage.
• Supervises the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies.
• Ensures that equipment and supplies are handled, stored and maintained securely.
• Removes non-functional equipment and reports problems for corrective action.
• Inspects working and storage areas to maintain clean and orderly conditions.
• Works safely and complies with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
