This team plays a vital role in supporting mill operations by managing and distributing critical materials, supplies, and equipment. The storeroom is responsible for managing and safeguarding a multi-million-dollar inventory of essential mill components.This is a hands-on, team-driven role in a fast-paced and flexible work environment, where adaptability and collaboration are key. The successful candidate will be expected to cross-train in all key storeroom functions, with the opportunity to contribute to areas such as construction receiving for NORPAC’s capital projects. Over time, the technician will develop a broad understanding of storeroom operations and play an integral role in ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials across the mill.Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Maintain a safe, clean, and organized storeroom environment in compliance with mill safety and environmental standardsActively participate in mill safety initiatives, including meetings, audits, and serving as a rotating safety representativeReceive and inspect incoming parts and materials, verifying specifications and documentation against purchase ordersProcess inventory transactions using SAP, ensuring all materials are entered accurately and timelyEnsure accurate inventory management, including correct part stocking and location trackingProcess outbound shipments: packaging, labeling, and coordinating delivery schedulesIssue, kit, and deliver materials across the facilityAssist in physical inventory counts and cycle countsWhen necessary, collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and production departments to address material issues or delaysCross-train and support all storeroom functions as neededPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications and Key Skills:High School diploma or equivalentProven commitment to safety-first work cultureValid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain before start date)Obtain mobile equipment certification no later than 30 days of hireBasic understanding of industrial parts, rigging components and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including OutlookWillingness and ability to learn SAP and other relevant IT systemsService oriented and excellent people skills with a focus on both internal and external customersExcellent time management and an ability to prioritize multiple needs/follow through to completionA team player with an able to thrive in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and results driven, with the ability to flow to workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to safely lift/move 50 lbs. or more with equipmentDesirable:Forklift and dock truck experienceSAP experience is highly desirablePrevious storeroom or inventory management experienceCompensation:Annual salary range for this position is $27 - $31 per hour.This position is eligible for:Benefits:IP NORPAC offers a highly competitive benefit package to include medical/vision and dental benefits, a company sponsored 401k match and additional company contribution, basic life insurance, employee assistance program, paid time off, floaters upon hire and paid holidays.
