Job summary

Trader Joe's is seeking a Mate (Assistant Store Manager) to lead and develop Crew Members at our Elkridge, MD location. You will coach teams, model values, and strive to create WOW experiences for shoppers. A strong background in retail leadership and a history of empowering staff is essential.

Responsibilities include operating the register, bagging groceries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a welcoming store. Minimums: 3+ years in retail/food service and 2+ years in a supervisory role.

• Operating the cash register in a fun and efficient manner.

Is it you?

To begin your journey and join our Crew as a Mate, we'd want you to have:

• 3+ years of recent retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience
• 2+ years of recent experience at the management or supervisory level
• A high school degree or equivalent
• A history of developing individuals and teams through empowerment and integrity
