Job summary

Cfg Health System Llc is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in a correctional setting, focusing on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). You will administer MAT medications, perform nursing assessments, document findings, and collaborate with clinicians to support safe, compliant care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of employment.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience; corrections, behavioral health, or addiction treatment experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in medication administration, injections, and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Administer MAT medications per provider orders and facility protocols.
• Perform nursing assessments to monitor withdrawal symptoms, treatment response, and potential side effects.
• Conduct venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens as directed by the provider; track and follow up on results.
• Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and medication administration in the EHR.
• Collaborate with MAT providers, nursing staff, behavioral health clinicians, and security personnel to ensure coordinated, continuous care.
• Educate patients on treatment adherence, safety, and harm-reduction strategies.
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and ensure compliance with DEA, state, and facility regulations regarding controlled substances.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and reporting requirements related to MAT services.
• Assist with discharge planning to support treatment continuity after release.
• Support staff training and education on MAT procedures and compliance standards.
• Perform other nursing duties as required to ensure smooth program operation.
