Job summary

Cfg Health System Llc is seeking a Part-Time MAT LPN to deliver direct patient care to individuals in a correctional healthcare setting. You will administer MAT medications, perform assessments, and ensure safe, compliant care alongside an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an active LPN license, current BLS, and experience with medication administration and phlebotomy. You will work day shifts in Kearny, NJ, with a focus on harm-reduction and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; corrections, behavioral health, or addiction treatment experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in medication administration, injections, and phlebotomy.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure environment while adhering to all safety and security protocols.
• Familiarity with MAT protocols, controlled substance handling, and applicable federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer MAT medications per provider orders and facility protocols.
• Perform nursing assessments to monitor withdrawal, treatment response, and potential side effects.
• Conduct venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens as directed by the provider; track and follow up on results.
• Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and medication administration in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate with MAT providers, nursing staff, behavioral health clinicians, and security personnel to ensure coordinated, continuous care.
• Educate patients on treatment adherence, safety, and harm-reduction strategies.
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and ensure compliance with DEA, state, and facility regulations regarding controlled substances.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and reporting requirements related to MAT services.
• Assist with discharge planning to support treatment continuity after release.
• Support staff training and education on MAT procedures and compliance standards.
• Perform other nursing duties as required to ensure smooth program operation.
