Job summary

Acadia Healthcare’s Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center in Salem, Oregon is seeking an LPN/LVN Dispensing Nurse for full-time hours. You will dispense medications, document care, and assist in monitoring patient outcomes within a busy MAT program.

The role focuses on accurate medication administration, inventory control, and adherence to DEA/FDA guidelines, with opportunities for growth in a leading addiction treatment network.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Prefer 1 year of nursing in behavioral health or addiction recovery.
• Experience in outpatient treatment programs preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain medical equipment safely.
• Skilled in drawing blood and collecting specimens.
• Proficient in EMR systems and clinical software.
• Competent in patient assessment and vital signs.
• Ability to administer medications per physician orders.
• Observe and document patient responses and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
• Document administration and nursing care in patient records.
• Maintain inventory of medication stock per DEA/FDA rules.
• Dedicate ~90% of time to medication administration.
• Process urine and blood samples and monitor outcomes.
• Complete documentation to clinic standards.
• Transport medications as needed or work on a Mobile Unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
