Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Masters Swim Team Coach to guide adult swimmers in developing technique and fitness in our indoor and outdoor pools. You will write and lead Masters Group Workouts, register new participants, and help maintain a clean, safe aquatics space.

The role requires 2 years of coaching, US Masters membership, and CPR/AED plus First Aid certifications (within 60 days). You’ll also support event meets and promote Life Time products and programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years coaching experience required.
• Member of US Masters.
• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certified (within 60 days).
• First Aid certification (within 60 days).
• Must complete Life Time Education requirements.
• Ability to stand and move around the club for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products/services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Masters Swim Team Coach, you will work in a fast-paced environment and will help our adult members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. A typical day for Masters Swim Coach could include writing and leading Masters Group Workouts and registering new Masters participants for the group. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

• Runs the daily operations of the masters swim team


• Provides adult swimmers the opportunity to master technique


• Establishes training programs to assist adult swimmers to achieve their goals


• Attends and supports swimmers at meets


• Understands Life Time products and programs

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED


• 2 years of coaching experience


• Member of US Masters


• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certified (completed within 60 days)


• First Aid certified (completed within 60 days)


• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.


• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time


• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services


• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping


• Ability to routinely bend to raise 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to raise more than 20lbs

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field


• Masters Coach Certification Level 1 & 2

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $19.50 and pays up to $28.25, based on experience and qualifications.
