Job summary

Cherokee Indian Hospital seeks a licensed behavioral health professional to provide comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based individual, group, and family therapies for adults within the EBCI and IHS framework.

You will collaborate with medical staff, coordinate discharge and referrals, offer walk-in assessments and crisis intervention, comply with HIPAA and tribal policies, and participate in supervision and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health from an accredited university.
• Must hold NC licensure as LCSW, LPP, LCMHC, or LMFT (provisional or associate accepted).
• Three years of diagnostic/therapeutic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cherokee culture preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and therapy (individual, group, and family).
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other health professionals.
• Provide walk-in access and triage for urgent cases.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and tribal policies.
• Participate in supervision and staff meetings.
• Assist with documentation in electronic medical records and related systems.
