Job summary

Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant Supervisor to lead the integrated behavioral health team within the primary care setting. The role entails supervising, training, and monitoring other Behavioral Health Consultants while providing expert behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or counseling; or PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; degree from an accredited university accepted by licensing agencies (NC)
• Must be licensed in NC in a specific discipline (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor)
• Two years of supervised clinical work experience for master's level or two years post-graduate clinical experience for PhD/PsyD
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be approved for and maintain medical credentialing, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Supervises behavioral health consultants and trains assigned staff on the integrated care model
• Ensure SBIRT is completed with patients in the clinic
• Provide supervision, guidance, and reports to the Adult Services Manager and CIHA leadership
• Assists in attaining and maintaining accreditation by the Joint Commission of Health Care Organizations
• Provides training and support to Primary Care staff about behavioral health practices
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community stakeholders
• Direct service duties including assessment, brief treatment, referrals, and crisis intervention as part of an integrated primary care team
• Participates in division/program meetings and contributes to program improvement initiatives
• Maintains documentation in the Electronic Health Record per CIHA policies and procedures
