Interns typically work 12-15 hours per week and engage in field-based learning with a Field Instructor. Responsibilities include adhering to ethics codes (NASW/ACA), completing onboarding, and maintaining client confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a master’s level program in Social Work, Psychology or related field at the time of internship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required.
• Pass an extensive background check.
• Effective positive interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to FSA policies, rules, and standards of practice, NASW and ACA Code of Ethics.
• Establish a written learning agreement with Field Instructor with learning objectives and a schedule.
• Participate in required internship evaluations or meetings with school.
• Complete assigned tasks by Field Supervisor, including direct client interactions and documentation.
• Maintain client confidentiality and rights under HIPAA.
