Job summary

Careermine is seeking a Master Welder & Boilermaker to support mobile and structural maintenance on large mining equipment, from giant electric shovels to haul truck fleets and field construction projects.

The role requires expert welding in all positions, fabrication from blueprints, and safe operation of heavy shop equipment. You will champion safety and autonomous haulage environments while delivering high-integrity repairs in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Analyze structural failures, evaluate metal properties, and determine welding procedures for high-stress repairs.
• Perform welds in all positions (Vertical, Overhead, MIG, TIG, Air Arc, Wire Feed) from blueprints/schematics or field layouts.
• Design, layout, fit, and fabricate structural steel and high-wear components with minimal supervision.
• Safely operate high-capacity shop and field equipment including cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, and measuring tools.
• Enforce strict safety culture, complete MSHA/OSHA protocols, work around Autonomous Haulage Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Expert Metalwork & Metallurgy: Analyze structural failures, evaluate metal properties, and determine the exact welding procedures required for long-lasting, high-stress repairs.
• All-Position Welding & Fabrication: Execute high-integrity welds in all positions (Vertical, Overhead, MIG, TIG, Air Arc, and Wire Feed) directly from blueprints, schematics, or custom field layouts.
• Mastery of the Craft: Design, layout, fit, and fabricate structural steel and high-wear components with minimal supervision.
• Rigging & Heavy Support: Safely operate high-capacity shop and field equipment, including overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, and precision measuring tools.
• Safety & Autonomy: Champion a strict safety culture, completing MSHA/OSHA protocols and operating safely around cutting-edge Autonomous Haulage Equipment.
