You will tackle high-stakes welding and structural repairs on massive surface mining gear—from giant electric shovels and blast hole drills to haul truck fleets and critical shop construction projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years heavy industrial welding experience or state-approved apprenticeship preferred.
• Boilermaker/Welder Certification (Vertical & Overhead) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expert metalwork & metallurgy to analyze structural failures and determine welding procedures.
• All-position welding and fabrication from blueprints or field layouts.
• Design, layout, fit and fabricate structural steel and high-wear components.
• Safely operate shop and field equipment including cranes and forklifts.
• Maintain safety culture and MSHA/OSHA protocols; work with automated haulage tech.
