Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced mechanical trade technician to support operation, maintenance and improvement of utilities distribution systems, machine tools, and equipment. You will identify conditions from manuals or instructions and perform repairs, rebuilds and modifications as needed.

The role covers air compressors, pumps, motors, control systems and related facilities, requiring safe operation of shop equipment and use of CMMS for work orders.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. degree or equivalent in applicable field of study.
• Military advanced training in applicable field.
• Journeyman credentials in applicable field.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard preventative maintenance and repairs with minimal direction.
• Diagnose problems, plan and complete work, identify and order parts.
• Maintain and modify machine tools, conveyors and process equipment.
• Test systems and repair electrical/electronic components in motors and drives.
• Calibrate instrumentation and relays; inspect safety devices and controls.
• Operate equipment safely and manage materials movements.
