Job summary

Bentley Truck Services, Inc. in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced diesel/gas truck technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a busy shop. You will use advanced diagnostic equipment and work closely with the management team to ensure quality and safety.

A strong background in mechanical/electrical systems and OEM software is required, along with CDL B and drug screening. We offer a supportive team, competitive wages, and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience on gas/diesel equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical experience and diagnostic ability.
  • CDL B license required; ASE preferred; PA State Inspection License for PA locations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to analyze and repair gasoline and diesel engines and subsystems/components.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Update supervisor and computer systems on work performed.
  • Follow procedures related to obtaining parts for jobs assigned.
  • Assure warranty procedures are followed.
  • Participate and complete Manufacturing training to obtain certifications.
  • Mentor and develop other technicians; work closely with management to improve shop operations.

What You'll Do

Opportunity to use exceptional skills and knowledge to support overall business goals while mentoring and developing other technicians. Will work very closely with the management team to provide insight on overall shop operations.

Job Summary

What We're Looking For

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work on trucks, climbing into and out of, crawling under to make repairs.
  • Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and electronic repair and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Ability to use PC to update work order status and explain maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to explain verbally and written form the status of work orders.
  • Ability to keep management aware of any concerns in the shop.
  • Must be dependable.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical experience
  • Strong diagnostic ability and familiarity with OEM software (Hino, Isuzu or Cummins preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience working on gas/diesel equipment
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • CDL B required
  • ASE Certifications, preferred. Our goal would be to have this individual fully certified.
  • For Pennsylvania Locations – PA State Inspection License
