The University of Wyoming invites applications for a Master Technician in Zoology & Physiology at the Red Buttes Environmental Laboratory, located 11 miles south of the campus in Laramie, WY. Under limited supervision, you will perform expert-level engineering, research, and computer systems configuration, and oversee project plans and staff.

This role requires an Associate's degree and 9 years of related experience; duties include setting up facilities, maintaining DEQ records, budget

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required for the role.
  • 9 years work-related experience in design, construction, fabrication, repair and maintenance of mechanical or electronic equipment or systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an MVR compliant with Driving for University Business.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain infrastructure of the Red Buttes research facility to ensure successful operation of research projects.
  • Set up systems and work areas for various research projects.
  • Review and analyze engineering, research, and computer-enhanced systems to meet technical objectives.
  • Engineer, design and construct complex equipment for researchers.
  • Direct the completion of projects by determining technical requirements and work objectives; coordinate work assignments and schedules.
