Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Strives to contribute to the store’s efforts to deliver an exceptional guest experience by prioritizing assistance to team members serving guests.
  2. Treats all co-workers, customers, and vendors professionally and with respect.
  3. Maintains attendance and punctuality.
  4. Adheres to Company Policies and Procedures.
  5. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  6. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dealership dress code.
  7. Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  8. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  9. Maintains Technician Proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
  10. Road tests vehicles to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed.
  11. Utilizes product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management.
  12. Maintains manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index at or above specified goals.
  13. Maintains the Service Department spaces in an organized, clean condition.
  14. Ensures customer vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to service.
  15. Maintains personal and associate grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards.
  16. Maintains dealership safety according to applicable requirements and published procedures.
  17. Completes required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  18. Completes necessary work and time-keeping for warranty repair orders.
  19. Maintains an adequate inventory of tools and devices needed for service work.
  20. Promotes effective working relationships between associates and departments.
  21. Reports any situation that jeopardizes safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership.
  22. Is available for work during assigned hours and volunteers for additional hours when requested.
  23. Notifies service advisor/manager of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition.
  24. Complies with all laws and company policy regarding safeguarding customer vehicles and information.
  25. Communicates with customers in an effective, professional manner when necessary.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
