Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Master Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, building trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a care-giver for vehicle safety and reliability.

You will work with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, diagnose issues, perform authorized repairs, and conduct multi-point inspections. We provide factory training, OEM certification support, and opportunities to grow across roles nationwide.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization and follow-up skills.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards to drive loyalty.
  • Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and make appropriate recommendations for safety and reliability.
  • Document all work performed on the repair order.
  • Maintain inventory of tools not normally inventoried by Service as special tools; stay current with factory bulletins and training.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
