Job summary

Ultimate Auto Works, a family-owned BMW specialist in Scottsdale, is expanding its team with an experienced automotive technician. We value versatility across makes and models, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.

BMW experience is a plus, but we will help you learn the cars. We seek a mature professional with ASE credentials preferred, own hand tools, and a valid driver's license for road tests.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience as an automotive technician at master technician level.
• Strong diagnostic skills, including electrical diagnosis.
• Experience across many makes and models; BMW experience is a plus.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Your own professional set of hand tools.
• A valid driver’s license for road tests.
• Reliable, honest and careful; pride in doing the job right first time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair BMWs of every age: maintenance, brakes, cooling systems, oil leaks, suspension, steering, electrical faults and driveability problems.
• Use scan tools, wiring diagrams and repair information to find the root cause, not just clear the code.
• Inspect each car carefully and write clear findings so the service advisor can explain to the customer what needs attention now and what can wait.
• Carry out pre-purchase inspections on used BMWs for buyers.
• Road test cars before and after the work.
• Keep your bay clean and organized, and treat every customer’s car like your own.

About the job

Ultimate Auto Works is an independent BMW specialist in the Scottsdale Airpark, family owned since 1992. The shop is busy and we are turning work away, so we are adding an experienced technician to the team.

We work on BMWs exclusively, but we are not looking for someone who only knows one make. We want a flexible technician with a wide range of experience who can take on whatever comes into the bay, from a routine service to a fault that has beaten two other shops. If you have solid, well rounded experience across many makes and models, we want to hear from you. BMW experience is a plus, but it is not required: we will help you learn the cars.

What you will do
