Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Salt Lake City is seeking a Master Stylist to consult with guests, perform hair design, color, styling, and related services, and promote retail and service sales. You will support the Experience Manager and ASM, uphold safety and sanitation standards, stay current on trends, and help deliver an unmatched guest experience.

Cosmetology license required and prior salon experience preferred. This full-time role requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends and offers

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Previous relevant work experience required.
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for performing haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services (where applicable).
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed to perform technical work.
• Proficiency to demonstrate, recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, and build clientele.

Responsibilities

• Provide hair design, cuts, color, texture, styling, and extensions; deliver services with guest focus.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales goal of $1250 in hair services and contribute to retail/service sales.
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives for an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Follow Ulta Beauty policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
