Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Master Stylist to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services to enhance the guest's total look. The role supports managers and emphasizes performance, guest service, and compliant operations within a beauty service environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Previous relevant work experience is required.
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for performing hair services and makeup applications.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goal of weekly hair service and productivity targets through exceptional guest service and contributing to store retail/service sales.
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience.
• Support the execution of in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives for an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay informed about new trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail/service recommendations.
• Serve all guests, including walk-ins, efficiently.
• Partner with skin therapists and retail team to provide total-store guest experience.
• Establish professional relationships with peers/brand partners to deliver exceptional guest experience.
• Share benefits of loyalty programs and Ulta Beauty app with guests.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.
• Be knowledgeable of Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety/sanitation/infection control procedures and state guidelines.
• Follow service protocols to ensure consistent guest experience.
• Use booking/ clientele systems to schedule return visits and events.
• Communicate supply needs to Experience Manager for guest readiness.
• Maintain store and salon cleanliness and adhere to dress code.
• Protect company assets and follow loss prevention practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.
