Ulta Beauty in Layton, UT is seeking a Master Stylist who engages guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. The Master Stylist delivers quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest’s total look and supports the Experience Manager (SM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) with performance, people, and process goals.

This role requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Previous relevant work experience is required.
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for performing haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing services.
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed to perform technical work.
• Proficiency to demonstrate, recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and build clientele.

Responsabilités

• Perform hair services including design, cuts, color, texture, style, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications and ear piercing where applicable.
• Meet or exceed sales goals for hair services and contribute to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and shrink.
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience.
• Support the execution of in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on new trends, products, and services and communicate benefits to guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate recommendations.
• Serve all guests, including walk-ins, efficiently.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a total-store guest experience.
• Share loyalty program benefits with guests.
• Attend trainings and meetings for professional development.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures and state guidelines.
• Follow service protocols to ensure consistent guest experience.
• Utilize booking/CRM systems to schedule return visits and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain store cleanliness across salon, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, and break areas.
• Adhere to dress code and protect company assets.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.
