General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focused on the guest’s overall look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform hair services (haircuts, color, styling, treatments, extensions, makeup, ear piercing, etc.).
• Meet or exceed weekly sales and productivity goals, contributing to store sales and guest loyalty.
• Demonstrate products to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Support in-store events and promotions.
• Stay informed on industry trends and product benefits.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control.
• Follow service protocols for consistent guest experiences.
• Utilize booking systems for appointments and events.
• Communicate supply needs to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and store standards.
• Adhere to dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Cosmetology license.

Experience

• Relevant prior work experience required.
