Job summary

Kendrick Plastics is seeking a Master Scheduler to manage customer demand, shipping schedules, inventory planning, and customer-specific requirements while ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

You will monitor ERP and planning tools, coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams; develop inventory plans for materials, WIP, and finished goods; and support ECNs, product launches, and obsolescence planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in SCM, IE, business, or related field
  • 5+ years in production or master scheduling in manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP systems and scheduling software (Plex a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Manage demand planning, forecasting, and inventory levels for customers
  • Monitor ERP and scheduling systems; resolve delivery-impacting issues
  • Coordinate shipment schedules, routing, and order maintenance
  • Provide proactive communication on delivery risks to customers
  • Support ECNs, product launches, and obsolescence planning
  • Develop inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, finished goods
  • Maintain ERP data integrity and customer/product data
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Establish freight routing strategies to meet delivery and cost targets

About the Role

Kendrick Plastics is seeking a Master Scheduler to manage customer demand, shipping schedules, inventory planning, and customer-specific requirements while ensuring exceptional customer performance ratings.

This role is critical to maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
  • Manage customer demand planning, forecasting, and inventory levels
  • Monitor customer EDI and ERP systems, identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery performance
  • Coordinate customer shipment schedules, delivery routing, and order maintenance
  • Serve as a customer point of contact and provide proactive communication regarding delivery risks and supply concerns
  • Track inbound and outbound premium freight costs
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Support engineering changes (ECNs), product launches, and obsolescence planning
  • Develop inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Maintain ERP data integrity, item parameters, customer information, and product data
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities
  • Establish and maintain freight routing strategies to meet delivery and cost objectives
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • OR
  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, customer scheduling, or master scheduling within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems and scheduling software (Plex experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
