Job summary

Chase Doors is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to define daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules for Glass, Insulated Glass, Door and Frame departments. You will analyze orders, staffing, inventory, and equipment to optimize capacity and costs.

Responsibilities include leading the SIOP process, prioritizing customer orders, and driving on-time delivery and efficiency improvements across all production facilities.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of Supply Chain/Production Scheduling experience.
  • LEAN and Continuous Improvement experience, specifically value-stream and process mapping.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Ability to use software to create routine reports, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Experience reviewing reports and using data to make informed production decisions.
  • Proven process enhancement skills.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team to ensure schedules, inventory availability & delivery dates are balanced.
  • Ability to adapt & adequately respond to issues like material shortages, equipment failures or changes to customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Creates master production schedule partnering with sales, supply chain and operations.
  • Is accountable for and reports on key metrics, including on-time delivery, quality and production efficiency.
  • Establishes priorities for specific customer orders.
  • Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
  • Manages SIOP process and resolves related issues.
  • Optimizes and schedules identical processes to eliminate duplicate machine setups.
  • Identify problems to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure company deadlines are met.
  • Distributes work orders to departments, denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
  • Communicates with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
  • Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise production planning personnel of production delays.
  • Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.
  • Expedites production of spare parts and establishes delivery dates for spare parts orders.
