Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the master production schedule for all facilities.
  • Maintain capacity management and production monitoring to maximize on-time delivery.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement scheduling technologies and planning tools.
  • Analyze manufacturing complexity to allocate labor, materials, and capacity.
  • Lead scheduling and capacity planning across ASC sites.
  • Monitor progress and coordinate with leadership to resolve delays.
  • Develop, track, and report scheduling metrics for visibility.
  • Identify initiatives to reduce lead times and increase throughput.

  • Maintain the Production Schedule with operations leadership.

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining the company's master production schedule to ensure efficient utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and manufacturing capacity across all ASC production facilities. This role serves as the central point for production planning, balancing customer demand with operational capabilities to achieve on-time delivery commitments while minimizing costs and maximizing throughput.

The Master Scheduler partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Executive Leadership to align production schedules with customer priorities, production constraints, and business objectives. Success in this role will be measured through improvements in on-time delivery, lead time reduction, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the master production schedule for all manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with customer commitments and operational priorities.
  • Maintain capacity management and production monitoring systems to maximize on-time delivery performance and minimize operational costs.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement scheduling technologies and planning tools that improve scheduling accuracy, visibility, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Analyze manufacturing complexity and production requirements to appropriately allocate labor, materials, equipment, and facility capacity.
  • Lead scheduling and capacity planning activities for all production operations across ASC sites.
  • Monitor production progress against scheduled milestones and collaborate with leadership teams to resolve delays and maintain committed ship dates.
  • Develop, track, and report key scheduling, capacity, and production metrics to support operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that reduce lead times, improve throughput, and support cost reduction objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to proactively identify, resolve, and document scheduling and production-related issues.
  • Maintain and continuously update the Production Schedule in collaboration with the Manufacturing Support Administrator and operational leadership.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, including the CEO, COO, and Director of Operations, to establish production priorities and customer commitment levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance and lead-time reduction.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedule changes throughout the organization while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Serve as the primary scheduling liaison to Supply Chain, ensuring timely communication of production schedule changes, constraints, and material requirements.
  • Develop annual capacity forecasts to support strategic planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting activities.
  • Lead capacity planning reviews by presenting short-term and long-term demand forecasts, identifying capacity constraints, and recommending solutions.
  • Optimize manufacturing flow and resource utilization through effective production scheduling techniques and planning methodologies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scheduling accuracy, production efficiency, and organizational responsiveness.
  • Ensure all scheduling activities support ASC's commitments to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customized, highly engineered, engineer-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with production planning, capacity planning, and master scheduling within a manufacturing operation.
  • Strong understanding of low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments and production processes.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience and understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze production capacity, labor utilization, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business demands.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and project coordination skills.

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to regularly walk production facilities and interact with manufacturing teams.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout manufacturing areas while monitoring production activities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to support multiple shifts and work flexible hours as needed to address scheduling priorities and production requirements.
  • Ability to travel between ASC facilities as required.
