Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Master Scheduler to lead the development, release and maintenance of program master schedules, aligning material lead times and capacity inputs with customer commitments.

The role requires strong Excel, ERP system expertise, and experience coordinating Sales, Inventory and Operations planning. A five-year scheduling background in aerospace or related industries is preferred, with APICS certification desirable.

Qualifications

  • MBA or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent mix of training and experience.
  • Minimum of five years in production scheduling.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, release and maintain master schedules for programs.
  • Coordinate S&OP process and capacity reviews.
  • Collaborate with production, materials, and logistics to ensure feasible schedules.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Master Scheduler. Our Schedulers are responsible for development, release and maintenance of program master schedules, subsequent functional operating schedules and order release schedules. This position has overall responsibility of master scheduling which includes incorporating material and plant fabrication lead time setbacks, historical data and capacity inputs. The Master Scheduler II is also responsible for coordinating the Sales, Inventory and Operations planning process, capacity review cycle (machine and manpower) and functioning of scheduling team. This entails the critical evaluation of used efficiency and utilization factors. The position requires significant interaction with schedulers and other plant personnel to ensure the schedule status is accurate and feasible and to provide necessary feedback to assure manufacturing throughput and support of customer requirements and sales commitments.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with superior proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Expert experience with an ERP system is required.
  • Employee must have the ability to understand manufacturing processes and associated workflows.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years production scheduling experience required.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience and APICS Certification are both preferred.
  • Knowledge of Production Operations, Production Control, Scheduling, Distribution, Inventory Management, Re-Order Points (ROP) and MRP is helpful.
