PURPOSE: This position is responsible for coordinating schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned departments(s) or facilities. The Master Scheduler will play a vital role in maintaining efficient operations and will serve as primary liaison for reporting capacity levels to upper management and providing insights that drive informed decision making.

1.0 DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a master production schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels, and operational capacity.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to harmonize operations and meet objectives.
  • Inventory Management-Analyze inventory levels and demand patterns to optimize inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and shortages.
  • Capacity Planning- Monitor production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints. Work productively to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime through effective resource allocation and scheduling adjustments.
  • Proactively identify potential risks to production schedules, such as supply chain disruptions or equipment challenges, and escalate to appropriate stakeholders with recommendations for mitigation.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the facilities; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Participates in forecast meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments.
  • Leads SIOP and other planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Analyze data and trends to project future needs, ensuring the company is always ahead of customer needs.
  • Regularly review processes, seeking out inefficiencies and finding solutions to optimize workflows.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing insights into production schedules, planning tools, and best practices to enhance collaboration and understanding.
  • All other duties as assigned.

3.0EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree in a related field. (Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Logistics) or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • Minimum of (5) five years related experience.
  • Professional certification-CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) required or willing to obtain at hire.
  • Experience using production planning systems.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams of professionals at all levels.

4.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will occasionally work near moving parts. The associate may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Due to the open environment of the building, must be able to work in various temperatures. Involves moderate or occasional presence of unfavorable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, noise, odor, chemicals, etc. Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, heat protective sleeves, and safety shoes may be required in the area that you are working in based on our safety PPE standards.
