Job summary

Onto Innovation in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Master Scheduler to coordinate material allocation and forecast-based scheduling across the production lifecycle.

You will model decisions in Subassembly Production Schedule, incorporate ECN changes, and ensure timely communication of plan changes while supporting procurement and production teams in a dynamic, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related planning experience in a low volume, high value, custom configured capital equipment manufacturing environment.
• A BS/BS in Supply Chain Mgmt. or related field.
• Oracle EBS experience strongly preferred
• An aptitude for technical product configuration, dates, numbers, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the allocation of materials and plan for future periods with other planners.
• Model decisions in the Subassembly Production Schedule and manage the build from start to finish.
• Update the schedule based on forecast, tool configurations, inventory, and labor availability.
• Incorporate ECN changes into existing work orders and rework orders per ECN time release.
• Communicate production plan changes and potential work stoppage issues; notify purchasing staff when shortages need expediting.
• Provide input on item master settings like lead-time and safety stock.
• Generate and present KPI data related to schedule commit dates, activity levels, material status, and documentation accuracy.

Implements the decisions made by the team by modeling them in the Subassembly Production Schedule, and then manages the entire build from start to finish.* Coordinates closely and continually with other planners to update the schedule in accordance with changes to the forecast, changes to tool configurations, inventory, and labor availability, etc.* Incorporates ECN changes into existing work orders. Rework orders up to new rev per ECN time release.* Communicates production plan changes and potential work stoppage issues. Proactively initiates solutions to scheduling, materials, and manufacturing challenges.
