Job summary

Ontic Chatsworth is seeking a Master Scheduler to lead the Master Production Schedule using Visual ERP, aligning demand with supply and coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement. The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Ideal candidates have aerospace scheduling experience, CPIM certification a plus, and proficiency with Excel/Outlook/Word.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Master Scheduling or 7+ years of production planning and scheduling; aerospace experience preferred.
• ERP/MRP systems experience, Visual ERP preferred.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, demand management and material planning.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• APICS CPIM certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) using Visual ERP.
• Analyze order feasibility based on capacity, material availability, engineering readiness, and quality.
• Integrate sales orders into Visual to align demand with production.
• Perform finite capacity planning across work centers and value streams.
• Apply bottleneck management and TOC principles to optimize throughput.
• Maintain CTB status by identifying shortages and coordinating with Procurement.
• Balance production demand with inventory objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to prevent material holds and delays.
• Control and execute ECN/ECO effectivity dates.
• Participate in customer meetings on delivery status and recovery planning.
• Support Sales/Customer Service by maintaining lead times and promise dates.
• Work with Value Stream leadership to develop forecast demand.
• Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and revisions.
• Identify scheduling gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Determine production priorities when labor, capacity, or materials are constrained.
