Job summary

EMD Electronics invites an experienced Master Scheduler to join our Martins SC manufacturing team. You will develop and maintain the master schedule, aligning demand with material availability and capacity to drive on‑time delivery.

You will partner with production, procurement, quality, and service teams to optimize resources, monitor KPIs, and implement scheduling improvements in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in production planning or master scheduling in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering with 3+ years in planning roles.

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Master Scheduler to join our team. This critical role will develop and maintain production schedules that align customer demand, material availability, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity. You will partner with cross-functional teams to support reliable delivery, optimize resources, and respond quickly to changing priorities while driving operational excellence. This role is based in Martin, SC with potential travel to meet business needs.

• Develop and maintain the master production schedule for assigned products and production areas, balancing demand, capacity, materials, labor, and inventory objectives.


• Translate forecasts, customer requirements, and supply priorities into executable production plans, sequencing work to support on-time delivery and efficient utilization of manufacturing resources.


• Collaborate with production, materials management, procurement, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve constraints and align execution with the plan.


• Monitor schedule adherence, inventory levels, material availability, capacity, and key performance indicators; identify risks early and recommend recovery actions.


• Maintain planning parameters and production-related master data, including lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, bills of material, and routings, in relevant planning systems.


• Use SAP planning and execution information to review requirements, evaluate supply and capacity constraints, update schedules, and communicate changes to stakeholders.


• Participate in demand and supply planning reviews, providing clear analysis of schedule changes, backlog, capacity gaps, inventory exposure, and potential customer impact.


• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve planning processes, schedule stability, data quality, and cross-functional ways of working.


• Coordinate daily schedule updates, communicate priority changes, and support rapid response to unplanned downtime, material shortages, and demand changes.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.


• 7+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials planning, or other supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.

OR

• Bachelor's Degree in Business (Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, etc.) or Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).


• 3+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials planning, or other supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP.


• Strong understanding of master production scheduling, MRP, capacity planning, inventory control, bills of material, routings, and manufacturing lead times.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate information into practical planning decisions.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions under changing conditions, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across manufacturing and supply chain functions.

Pay Range for this position: $97,100 - $145,700

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
