Job summary

Barchemy, LLC is seeking a Master Scheduler to serve as the central coordinator for production planning, scheduling, and monitoring. You will translate customer demand into actionable production plans while optimizing resources and costs.

You will develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, coordinate with sales, procurement, production, and logistics, and monitor progress to ensure schedule adherence. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • Certifications in supply chain, project management, or business management are often preferred.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are essential for designing and implementing production plans and schedules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to coordinate with various departments and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with forecasts, capacity, and inventory goals.
  • Coordinate with sales, procurement, production, and logistics to synchronize activities.
  • Monitor production progress, identify disruptions, and implement contingency plans to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Use scheduling software to create, adjust, and communicate production schedules.
  • Perform scenario planning and what-if analyses for demand fluctuations and downtime.
  • Maintain records of scheduling activities and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Capacity planning, forecasting and analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

A Master Scheduler serves as the central coordinator for production planning, scheduling, and monitoring in manufacturing environments, translating customer demand into actionable production plans while optimizing resources and costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align with sales forecasts, production capacity, and inventory goals.
  • Coordinating with sales, procurement, production, and logistics to synchronize activities and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitoring production progress, identifying potential disruptions, and implementing contingency plans to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Using advanced scheduling software to create, adjust, and communicate production schedules.
  • Conducting scenario planning and "what-if" analyses to anticipate the impact of demand fluctuations, material shortages, or equipment downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate records of scheduling activities, changes, and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Capacity planning, forecasting and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
