Job summary

  • Ensure builds documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure ERP transactions are complete and correct.
  • Manage inventory using cycle counts for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering on production bills of materials.
  • Participate in Kaizens and process improvement plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the production schedule that aligns customer demand, material availability, labor capacity, and manufacturing resources. This role establishes planning parameters and system controls within MRP/ERP environments to drive efficient production execution and inventory management. The Master Scheduler plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors products throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery, optimal resource utilization, and alignment with business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule production of printers based on history and customer demands
  • Schedule the workforce to complete the schedule
  • Coordinate with purchasing on the correct levels of inventory
  • Communication with customer service on delivery dates and scheduling changes
  • Ensure proper documentation is provided for builds
  • Ensure ERP system and transactions are complete and correct
  • Manage inventory using cycle count procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel on the creation of production bills of materials.
  • Participate in Kaizens and process improvement plans
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Technical degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning and coordination within a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and process excellence.
  • Proven experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing production requirements, customer demands, and business priorities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to proactively identify scheduling risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
