ABB Installation Products Inc. in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Buyer/Planner to plan and create production schedules for designated work centers based on demand and stock.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or applicable technical field required.
• 3+ years' experience in materials acquisition/planning in manufacturing.
• Strong project management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with work orders, inventory control and flow manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create production schedules for specific work centers based on demand and stock.
• Review production schedules and issue purchase orders to meet production needs.
• Lead the Service section of the daily Gemba walk and coordinate with supervisors.
• Compile reports on inventory levels, costs and issues with production and purchased parts.
• Coordinate material needs with production and outside supplier personnel to ensure material flow.
• Communicate with facility personnel and customers to coordinate processing and shipping requirements.

Reviews raw and WIP material requirements and issues work orders and/or purchase orders to meet production schedules.The work model for the role is: Onsite in Jonesboro, AR.This role is contributing to the ELIP division in US/LATAM.You will be mainly accountable for:Review and distribute production work packages and shipment schedules. Review documents, such as production schedules, work order shortages, need to order reports and open purchase order reports and to obtain information, such as materials, priorities, and personnel requirementsLead the Service section of the daily Gemba walk. Confer daily with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion datesCompile reports on inventory levels, costs, and issues with production and purchased parts.
