Job summary

Fernbrook Family Center provides internships for Masters level students from fields such as Social Work, Psychology, and Clinical Psychology. Intern work is done under the direct supervision of a qualified site supervisor, with all services reviewed, including assessments and progress notes.

The role involves delivering mental health skills-based services to children, adults and families through individual, family, and group modalities, using culturally responsive strategies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master's program related to Social Work, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or related fields.
• Must pass a criminal background check per agency requirements.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for community-based client contact.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the agency’s qualified site supervisor; all services reviewed by supervisor.
• Provide mental health skills-based services to children, adults, and families via individual, family, and group modalities.
• Use culturally responsive strategies to address clients' needs.
• Complete documentation in alignment with established content, quality, and timeliness standards.
• Meet required productivity benchmarks for client services and weekly billable expectations.
• Attend and engage in staff meetings to support professional needs.
• Coordinate with Fernbrook staff and external service providers.
• Uphold Fernbrook Family Center’s mission, policies and procedures.
