Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Master’s Child Welfare Specialist to provide the full range of foster care and/or adoption services to children and families within state mandates, COA standards, and agency policy.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work, Illinois licensing, and related experience in case management, reporting, and court involvement. You will collaborate with schools and healthcare providers to promote well-being.

Qualifications

• Provide and coordinate a continuum of case management services across child welfare.
• Engage children and families in the service planning process.
• Complete and submit reports, documentation, and billing promptly.
• Respond to client emergencies 24/7 and attend court hearings.
• Collaborate with schools and health care facilities to promote well-being.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver continuum of case management to achieve permanency for children.
• Engage families in the assessment-based service planning process.
• Submit required reports and billing accurately and timely.
• Participate in supervision and family-child staffing meetings.
• Coordinate with service providers and collateral agencies.
