Job summary

Mpp is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and optimize the master production schedule within a powder metal manufacturing facility. You will coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Tooling, Maintenance, and Production to balance demand, capacity, and material availability, while aiming for on-time delivery and controlled inventory.

The role requires 3+ years of scheduling experience in manufacturing, strong capacity planning skills, and the ability to analyze data and communicate across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning and bottleneck management.
• Ability to analyze data and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills across production and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for presses, sintering furnaces, and secondary operations.
• Align schedules with customer demand forecasts and firm orders.
• Monitor WIP flow through processes and optimize sequencing to reduce changes and disruptions.
• Identify capacity constraints and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate raw material and powder availability with Purchasing.
• Track schedule adherence and report KPIs (OTD, schedule attainment).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on flow, lead time reduction, and inventory control.
• Participate in meetings to discuss project progress and plant/customer issues.
• Work with leadership on budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure tooling is available with Tool Designer/Tool & Die shop.
