Job summary

ND Defense is seeking a Program Operations Manager for the West Point, Mississippi facility to own the master production schedule and drive cross-program execution. You will deliver status communications to align production, quality, supply chain, engineering, and customers while acting on behalf of the Sr.

Director of Manufacturing. You will supervise the facility Program Manager, develop talent, and ensure disciplined program planning, risk management, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, operations management, or related field is required.
• Minimum eight years of combined program management and manufacturing operations experience.
• Five years of direct program management with cost, schedule, and deliverables accountability.
• Ownership of master production schedule or equivalent planning function.
• Experience mentoring less experienced personnel in program management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling and planning.
• Ability to hold peers and senior staff accountable to dates and deliverables.
• Prior supervisory experience and strong written communication skills.
• U.S. person as defined under ITAR 22 CFR 120.62.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the facility master production schedule with demand vs capacity analysis.
• Maintain a consolidated execution picture for all active programs and risks.
• Own cross-program open item register and drive closure with owned due dates.
• Run facility program review cadence with standard status formats.
• Supervise and develop the facility Program Manager with a structured development plan.
• Coach on customer-facing program status prior to release to build independence.
• Identify schedule/resource conflicts and present options to leadership.
• Produce and distribute program status communications to leadership and customers.
• Coordinate with ND Defense program managers to reconcile plant status with commitments.
• Track milestones against contract requirements and surface deviations early.
• Support customer program reviews and internal ops reviews with prepared status material.
• Partner on capacity, downtime planning, and schedule feasibility with maintenance.
• Establish and document program management practices, templates, and standards.
• Recommend improvements to scheduling systems, ERP utilization, and reporting.
