The City of Lexington is seeking a Master Police Officer to perform intermediate protective service and public safety work. You will maintain order, respond to emergencies, protect people and property, enforce motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promote good community relations for the Police Department.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, five years as a sworn officer, 300 hours of approved continuing education, a valid NC driver’s license, and NC general law enforcement

Resume and training records required. Job description indicates minimum of 300 hours of approved continuing education in key developmental areas. These areas are: Management/Leadership; Investigative; Community Oriented Policing; Emotional Intelligence; Tactical/Patrol. Resume and training record allows for review of training to ensure these training requirements are met.
4 on - 4 off, 12.25 hour shifts, rotating every two weeks. Paid bi-weekly. Overtime and Extra Duty assignments available.
