Job summary

Montgomery Co is seeking a supervisory plumber-regulatory compliance lead to ensure all plumbing work aligns with WSSC, county, state, and federal codes. You will coordinate contract administration, prepare estimates, and supervise a team of county plumbers.

Role requires Master Plumber license or equivalent, plus extensive experience; willingness to work after hours and during emergencies is essential. This position is essential to county operations and may involve on-site work at County

Qualifications

• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school program in plumbing and five years’ journey-level experience.
• Two years as a lead plumber or trades foreman; Master Plumber license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and WSSC licenses required; regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee plumbing systems to ensure compliance with WSSC, County, State, and Federal codes.
• Coordinate and administer Time & Material plumbing contracts and track PO balances.
• Prepare time and material estimates and monitor budgets for projects.
• Supervise county plumbers, assign work orders, and respond to emergencies after hours.
• Review plans and workmanship for code compliance and regulatory adherence.
