Job summary

Montgomery County Government is seeking a supervisory Master Plumber to oversee regulatory compliance for plumbing systems across County properties. You will coordinate inspections, supervise staff, and manage Time & Material service contracts. A Master Plumber license and WSSC certifications are required or strongly preferred.

The role requires extensive experience, strong leadership, and the ability to respond to emergencies and after-hours calls in an essential County position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Five years’ journey-level plumbing experience with two years in a lead role.
• Master Plumber license and WSSC certifications preferred.
• Experience administering Time & Material service contracts and vendor invoices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in County properties.
• Coordinate and supervise county plumbers; assign work orders and respond to emergencies.
• Act as contract administrator for Time & Material plumbing services; track PO balances and prepare quotes.
