Responsibilities include mentoring crews, handling complex diagnostics and gas work, and maintaining profitable project outcomes while adhering to WSSC, gas-fitting, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

TR Construction Group, LLC is seeking an experienced WSSC-licensed master plumber to help lead field operations - performing and overseeing complex residential work, pulling permits, supervising journeymen and apprentices, and upholding quality and code compliance. The owner is the company’s WSSC master plumber of record; this master hire expands the company’s permitting and supervisory capacity rather than serving as the license of record.

What You'll Do

• Perform and supervise the full range of residential plumbing installation, service, and repair work, including sewer and drain cleaning.
• Pull permits and serve as a licensed authority responsible for code compliance and inspection sign-off.
• Direct and mentor journeymen and apprentices; verify and document apprentice training hours.
• Handle complex diagnostics, repipes, system replacements, and gas work.
• Review estimates, scopes, and completed work for quality and profitability.
• Ensure all work complies with the WSSC plumbing code, gas-fitting requirements, and OSHA standards.
• Support hiring, training, and crew scheduling.
• Maintain professional customer relationships and resolve escalated issues.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Valid WSSC Master Plumber license: meet WSSC’s journeyman-experience requirements and pass the WSSC Master Plumber examination (administered by PSI). Reciprocity is available from the Maryland State Board, Baltimore County, or Virginia master licensure.
• Extensive residential plumbing and gas-fitting experience.
• Thorough command of the WSSC plumbing code, permitting, and inspection processes.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple jobs.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Note: company licensure and insurance are maintained by the owner as the WSSC master of record; this hire is not required to carry them personally unless they become a qualifying party in the future.

Compensation

• Salary (recommended): ~$85,000 - $114,400 / year, commensurate with experience and leadership scope.
• Hourly equivalent: $41 - $55 / hour.
• Bonus / commission: Profit sharing after company meets its yearly goals.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs; occasionally more with assistance.
• Work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and trenches.
• Stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
