Job summary

Edelman Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electric & Solar is seeking a Lead Plumbing Installer to own complex residential plumbing installations from start to finish, including kitchen and bath remodels, fixture and system installs.

You will lead a crew, train assistants and junior installers, and ensure projects stay on budget, on code, and on schedule. Strong leadership and hands-on expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

6+ years of residential plumbing install experience.
Valid Illinois Plumbing License (IDPH) required.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid driver’s license and insurability through company carrier.
Must supply your own tools to perform Install Level 5 work.
Able to lift up to 300 lbs and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

Own complex residential installations from start to finish (kitchen/bath remodels, fixtures, systems).
Lead the crew: supervise and train assistants and junior installers.
Provide on-the-spot solutions when plans change.
Install and connect waste, vent, gas, and water piping per Illinois Plumbing Code.
Communicate clearly with homeowners and protect their home on site.
Handle checklists, materials orders, and inventory.
