Job summary

City of New York's Housing Authority is seeking a Plasterer to perform plastering on interior and exterior surfaces under supervision. Tasks include applying plaster with hawk and trowel, taping sheet rock, and setting up scaffolds.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time plastering experience required.
• Ability to apply plaster to interior and exterior surfaces and to read plans.
• Must be able to maintain records and supervise aides when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply plastering materials according to specs.
• Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, piers and columns with hawk and trowel.
• Plaster partition walls and repair damaged areas.
• Tape sheet rock and repair damaged walls.
• Set up and work on scaffolds.
• Work in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Maintain records.
• Supervise assigned personnel.
